You should always agree & be on the same side with big issues like politics & religion?
Is this a Marriage myth or fact?
The truth is:
Even in marriage It’s okay to disagree, even about big issues.
It’s okay to have different views and perceptions of life.
You and your spouse are not identical replicas of one another and that can actually make things more fun. (if you allow it)
What’s important is to learn how to respectfully communicate with one another so that you both feel heard and valued for your opinions.
Does that make sense?
For example
My husband & I view the world in very different ways.
And that’s ok…..
But before, I used to argue & keep convincing him to be on my side of viewing things….
Now I’ve come to realise that we can both have different perceptions of life and still have fun in our marriage.
-That means less arguments.
-Pure healthy discussion
-Fun in our conversation
-Fully respecting each other’s views. (even if you don’t get it)
-He can load the dishwasher his way. (his way is right too)
-When he’s in charge of the kids he can parent them his way.
(I don’t have to make him parent our kids my experienced way or the way I like).
-he can have his favourite sex positions and I can have my favourite positions.
– he can have his me time and I can have my me time without having to always spend time together.
-and so much more…..
However, I want to be honest and say, this did not happen overnight.
It takes a lot of mindset shifting and mental effort to create the relationship that you want to have with your spouse.
How this mindset shift works is what I teach 1:1 in Emotions management coaching.
I teach how to think differently when it comes to your marriage, a way that no one has ever taught you before.
When I teach you this way of thinking about your marriage, you’ll have less arguments with your husband and you’ll start feeling happier in your marriage.
Are you ready to create a marriage that you love being a part of?
I want to work with you 1:1 & help you rebuild/create the relationship that you want with your spouse/husband.
Your way and what you want, only that’s what matters in your marriage…. not how the world, your mother, or your in-laws want.
Not how your friends think your marriage should be…. not how your parents want it to be….
just your way.
If you want help with your marriage,
I invite you to schedule a call with me and let’s talk about what’s happening in your marriage & how coaching can help you make it thrive.
I know you want a thriving marriage.
Not one where you keep feeling like you want to leave him & start over after every argument.
You’re not meant to suffer and struggle while on this earth.
Everything you want you can have it & same goes for your marriage.
The marriage you want is available for you.
You just need to decide how long you want to wait?
Having doubts? Well, that’s okay.
