Whenever we’re on the road driving and my husband sees a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or any other high priced car.
He makes sure to show me because he knows my passion for luxury cars….
I don’t necessarily love Lamborghinis or Ferraris.
My dream car is the Range Rover.
But seeing Lamborghini/Ferrari always excites me.
Here’s why…
I always wonder that if every human is capable of having anything they want, then it means I can do and have anything I want as well.
The first step to achieve this is to believe it’s possible to do or have whatever it is that you want..
Believing in the possibility of something makes the brain start subconsciously helping you understand what you would need to do to achieve it.
In coaching, we learnt the same; believing in the possibility of something before it happens is usually the first step to attaining it.
You need to believe that it’s possible to have a happy family despite all the problems you’ve been through with your husband. Despite all the arguments and resentment.
You need to believe that you can become the best mother your children will ever need.
You need to believe that you can have the career you always wanted.
You need to believe; firstly, that it’s possible to get back and become who you always wanted to be even after being a stay-at-home mom for 4 years.
The secret is to believe it’s possible before you know how…
Now the second problem your brain will bring up is how?
Here is what you need to know: the actions required for you to take are actually the second step of what you need to do on the ladder of getting what you want…
So that’s why it’s so unnecessary for us to worry about doing something before believing it’s even possible to have it (or do it).
You don’t need to know how to get there, all you only need to do is first believe it’s possible, before you know how to do it or how to get there…
In that order
When you create a belief that it’s possible to have what you want, your brain will start giving you the thoughts that you need to achieve that desired thing.
These thoughts will make you understand how you need to feel to get what you want.
These feelings will in turn help you take the actions that you need to do to get what you want.
The actions result in you fulfilling your goals and achieving what you set out to attain..
So if the situation is that I want to own a Range Rover,
The first thing is for me to believe it’s actually possible for me to have one if I wanted to.
Thinking this way makes me feel excited about the possibility.
From that excitement, I’ll start taking actions like learning about prices, models types, interesting aspects of the range rover, etc.
After these actions I’ll feel even more enthusiastic about wanting the car more. So more interest is built.
The second phase would be: when would I want to have a Range Rover?
Do I want to have a red or a black Range Rover in 3 years time?…..
My thoughts:
I know I can do it and I know it’s possible because if any other human can, then why can’t I?
These thoughts make me start to feel hopeful and begin believing in what I considered the impossible
After feeling hopeful I ask myself, what do I need to start doing to buy a Range Rover in 3 years? What things do I need to stop doing as well to get me there?
This is where you add what you need to do, what need to not do, or what you need to stop doing, in order to have what you want
Result —- complete map of owning a black /red Range Rover in 3 years.
Do you understand all this?
Replace my Range Rover with what YOU need… Do you have things around you to remind you of what you want/where you want to be?

Let the brain see/hear as many times as you want…
