Today, I will share one of my favourite way of thinking when I get upset/angry.
Hopefully, you can save or screenshot this page for future reference.
Every time I feel angry, one of the first things I do is get curious about my anger.
So here is a few questions I ask myself.
What’s causing my anger?
What thoughts I’m I having about this circumstance.
What I’m I making this mean?
Being curious about my thoughts when I’m upset/angry helps me create the awareness that I need at that moment.
Once you have the awareness, the brain starts working from a neutral perspective.
Compared to before, it was a one-sided view perspective.
I think you should try that method too and see how your brain will feel.
Because showing up means learning to face your anger & negative emotions with curiosity, kindness and compassion.
I hope you have learnt something new and worth trying.
But I’m curious about you.
What’s the first thing you do when you feel angry or have a negative emotion?
