If you want to lose weight, but are too lazy for those killer cardio classes, I can totally relate to you.
It’s hard to exhaust your body and burn off enough calories to shave off weight, but we all want to look and feel our best, too.
How To Lose Weight Without Going To The Gym Or Without Exercising
That’s why I’ve gathered up these ten awesome ways to lose weight for us lazy girls. I promise you don’t need tons of motivation to start finally losing that weight!
-
Drink Lots Of Water
One super simple way to reduce your appetite and lose weight is to drink a ton of water, especially before you eat.
Water will help you feel full faster so that you consume fewer calories throughout the day.
Plus, drinking more water is something that we should all be doing anyway, as it improved body functions, including digestion, and boosts immune health.
Try a reusable bottle to bring your water with you wherever you go.
-
Skip High-Calorie Drinks
Drinks other than water can pack in a ton of calories without you even realizing it. Soda, iced teas, sweet coffee drinks, and even juice can contain hundreds of calories.
Drinks don’t fill you up as much as a healthy meal but may contain the same amount of calories as a hearty snack.
So, instead of reaching for a caloric drink, go for a good old glass of water. If water simply isn’t your favorite, try seltzer water or water that’s flavored naturally with fruit.
-
Eat Slower
Eating more slowly is one easy way to feel full and satiated after any meal.
When you eat slowly, your body has a chance to register fullness.
In the long run, this will cause you to consume fewer calories and lose weight! Aim to take at least twenty minutes to eat each meal.
Pro Tip: If you’re having trouble slowing down the pace of your meal or snack, try putting down your utensil (or the food itself) in between bites. This will force you to slow down and take one bite at a time.

Use Mints And Gum
Many times, I’ll be tempted to eat just because I want to have a flavor on my tongue. If you can relate, then try keeping mints or gum on hand.
These zero-calorie options can help you avoid eating when you’re not hungry and lose weight.
Gum and mints are especially helpful for people who can never seem to stop snacking (guilty!).
-
Stop Midnight Snacking
As tempting as it can be to have a yummy snack late at night, doing so can derail your weight loss goals.
When you eat at night, you’ll likely lie down almost immediately afterward, and your body doesn’t get a chance to digest the food.
So, it’s much more difficult for your metabolism to burn off those calories.
Eating earlier in the evening is better for your digestive system and will help you lose weight.
-
Brush Your Teeth To Cut Down On Snacking
Who wants to eat with freshly brushed teeth? I know that I don’t!
That’s why brushing your teeth after meals can be a great way to prevent yourself from snacking.
Snacking adds on extra calories to your day, so keeping it to a minimum will help you lose weight.
-
Eat The Rainbow
Eating a plate or bowl filled with different colors has been shown to make you feel more satisfied at the end of a meal.
So, make sure your plates have a variety of differently colored fruits and veggies, in addition to healthy grains and proteins.
-
Eat Mindfully
When you truly enjoy your food, you’ll be less tempted to eat it in excessive amounts. Savor every bite of a meal, focusing on each individual flavor and texture.
This helps to create a healthier and happier relationship with food to make weight loss easier.
-
Eat Most Of Your Calories Early In The Day
Eating earlier in the day boosts your metabolism’s ability to burn off the calories you consume.
Your breakfast and lunch should contain the majority of your daily allotment of calories, with a lighter dinner at the end of the day.
I love this strategy because it also helps with digestion and will give you energy throughout the day.
The fantastic weight loss strategies above are low-effort and effective for all the lazy girls out there.
You really can become your best self without a ton of time or commitment–trust me!
