If you’re feeling hopeless in your marriage, it’s because things are going on in your marriage that has resulted in you feeling this way.
This isn’t something that you’ve chosen to feel intentionally.
You’re human, and as humans, when something doesn’t go as we hoped it would, then we can end up feeling hopeless and wanting to give up.
You might have tried for months or even years for things to change in your marriage, sometimes they do, and sometimes they don’t.
And when they do, it’s only for a few days, weeks, or months, then back to the same old problems.
Tell me, why would a person not feel hopeless and frustrated by this?
Remember all the times you gathered up your courage to air out your concerns to your husband on the things that bother you in your marriage.
He listens and promises he’ll work on it; then you wait for him to take action- sometimes he takes action.
And keeps his word for a few weeks, but even then he goes back to the same old habits eventually and the cycle continues.
At times you may wait, only to find out later that he never kept his word nor followed what he promised.
And when you remind him again, you end up fighting/arguing.
If you’re feeling so frustrated, why can’t he just change these habits/ behaviour? Why can’t he start helping you around the house as you requested?
The reason why you’re feeling hopeless in your marriage is because
You’re tired of waiting on him to change his behaviour, and you’ve started to feel frustrated with him for not being able to keep his word when he says he’ll do better and change his behaviour.
You’ve run out of patience because you’ve been waiting so long for him to change and start appreciating you, listening to you.
And it might be that you’re at a point where you don’t think that there’s anything more that you can do.
Before you give up, I just want to remind you, there is still hope and time to bring your marriage back to how you’ve always wanted it to be.
I have some ideas that I can share with you.
